REKUDO FRONT SPINDLES – PAIR

Fits 1970-1981 Camaro/Firebird – 1″ Spindle Drop and 1″ Taller for Improved Camber Curve

Part # RK600-02
REKUDO spindles are one part of a fully engineered suspension and brake system for the 1970-1981 Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird. This suspension system is an auto-cross inspired modern suspension system that retains the original equipment (OE) appearance & strength with taller than stock spindles for improved camber gain & lowers the front of the vehicle by 1″. These spindles must be used with REKUDO Control Arms RK100-21 and REKUDO JL8 front brake system (calipers, rotors, hubs, dust shields, and brake hoses) Spindles are forged 4140 chrome-moly steel construction with Black EDP Coating. Spindles sold in pairs. JL8 Brakes Require 15″ Minimum Diameter Wheels. These spindles are for use with the following additional components of this suspension system & front brake system (each part is sold separately): – Front Control Arms RK100-21 (complete set – upper & lower) – Front Springs RK200-11 (1″ lowered pair), or RK200-12 (2″ lowered pair) – Front Shocks RK300-03 (2 required) – Front Sway Bar RK500-02 – Front Rotors RK400-06 (pair) – Front Hubs RK600-01 (2 required) – Front JL8 Brake Dust Shields (pair) – Front JL8 Calipers RK400-10, RK400-12, RK400-19, RK400-21, or 1968-1982 C3 Corvette Factory Style Front Calipers – Rear Leaf Springs RK200-02 (pair) – Rear Shackles RK200-08 (set) – Shocks RK300-04 (2 required) These spindles must be used with Control Arms RK100-21 (full Set) (upper RK100-21U & lower RK100-21L) for improved camber curve – see Camber Curve Graph. See the Attached Alignment Recommendations for – for Daily Driver, Weekend Warrior, and Track Only vehicle applications. The 4-wheel disc brake upgrade (Corvette style 4-piston calipers for both front and rear) was offered on the 1968 Camaro as a “Heavy Duty Service” package sold through the parts counter at Chevrolet car dealers. In 1969, the 4-piston disc brakes could be ordered as a Regular Production Option (RPO) JL8 package on production vehicles. These high-end brakes were made available to support racing programs like the Sports Car Club of America® (SCCA), and Trans-Am® road racing series. This unique brake option is very rare and was only sold on about 200 production vehicles.
