The Hilborn EFI-R injector manifold kits combine the technology of Electronic Fuel Injection with the racing born performance and aggressive looks of Individual-Runner engine induction. The engine valley covers are sold separate to allow the customer to choose the correct valley cover kit based on the engine deck-height, 300-802 – Std. 9.800″ height or 300-803 – Tall 10.200″.

Features:

  • Fits OE & aftermarket Big Block Chevy engines which have OE standard or tall block deck heights. 300-802 for standard 9.800” height, 300-803 for tall 10.200” height.
  • Hilborn high-quality heat-treated aluminum valley cover castings, ceramic coated a beautiful dark gray
  • The injector manifold throttle cross-over link appropriate to the engine deck height and throttle shaft center to center distance is included in the valley cover kit
  • The machined valley cover provides two AN-10 O-ring sealed ports, these ports can be used for crankcase breathers, installation of a dry sump oil scavenge pick-up, or an oil fill location
  • The Hilborn Big Block Chevy valley covers are intended for use with a set of Hilborn EFI-R injection manifolds but these valley covers could also be used as part of a custom induction system being built.
  • Ram Tubes and Lifter Valley Covers sold separately

Stuart Hilborn invented the fuel injection system and it became the system of choice in racing, beginning with his hot-rod V8 and then the Meyer & Drake Offys. He is still active and, like the others of his generation, is using the computer to design and manufacture his products. One of them is an experimental rotary-valve throttle design to be tested on an IRL/Aurora engined car shortly. This provides a nice introduction to the man, leading on to the thought and reality of continuous change and improvement in racing, by racing people having the competitive instincts of the Racer’s Edge.
